Matt Sorum is best known as both a former member of the hard rock band Guns N’ Roses, with whom he recorded two studio albums, Use Your Illusion 1 & 2 and Spaghetti Incident. He was inducted into the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame with Guns n’ Roses in 2012. Matt was also a member of supergroup Velvet Revolver and The Cult.
To me Matt was the main inspiration for my shift into rock music and the one drummer that literally inspired me to pick up the drums. After hearing his work with Guns N’ Roses in 6th grade I was sold. I wanted to be him and I admire and respect him for that.
